We’ve launched our most comprehensive survey yet which looks to find out what you, cricket fans, think about a wide range of issues and topics surrounding the game.
With questions relevant to players and non-players of the game and including such current important discussion points including scheduling, cricket formats and engagement, county membership and diversity and inclusion, the survey also includes questions relevant to the current ECB high-performance review to give supporters’ the opportunity to have their views heard.
All insight and statistics gathered from fans who take the survey will be analysed anonymously by the CSA and presented to the ECB to enable fans’ views to be considered in relation to the review, which is aiming to build a successful high performance system for English cricket. The ECB will then continue to work with the CSA as the review continues to obtain any further supporter insight.
The data and insight from the survey will also be shared specifically with Leicestershire County Cricket Club who have signed up to be a County partner of the CSA. Other counties will be offered specific insight and data for their members / fans in their region should they wish to see it.
The survey also asks about discriminatory behaviour and what has or hasn’t been seen or heard at cricket by fans of the game and any related impact this has had. This will assist in the current work being undertaken within the game to tackle racism and promote inclusion and diversity.
As commented by Becky Fairlie-Clarke, “Our latest survey is our biggest yet and comes at such an important time for cricket as we look at how cricket moves forward from a scheduling and performance perspective in England and Wales as well as concentrating on diversity and inclusion. The CSA is all about giving fans a voice within the game as well as ensuring cricket is as welcoming and accessible as it can be for each and every cricket fan. We are pleased to be working with other stakeholders within the game to give them a thorough independent understanding of what fans are thinking.”

We believe that together fans can wield a collective power that is not within our grasp as individuals.”
